What Our Guest Have to Say

Testimonials

Our time spent at Fox Bay Lodge in August of 2017 was wonderful. We were really impressed by both Jerry and Susan, we felt like instant friends. There were a lot of nice touches that made this Bristol Bay lodge experience a cut above. The silver salmon fishing was good and it wasn’t even the very peak of the run. One of our favorite memories of the trip include the fresh sushi on the deck in the sunshine at the lodge with a nice glass of wine while we visited with our hosts. We were thrilled that there was a really comfortable king size bed in our cabin. We’d love to visit again, maybe during the king salmon run.

My son and I visited Fox Bay Lodge last summer and it was a great experience. When we arrived at the lodge, we were amazed at the beauty of the surroundings. Foxes were running through the woods near by and birds were flying over the lake outside the lodge. The main room of the lodge offered beautiful views of the lake and wildlife. One night we even saw a bear walk near the lodge during dinner. Fox Bay Lodge and its quiet, secluded location was a perfect place to unwind and relax. The owners, Sue and Jerry Klassen, offered first-class service during our trip. They were accommodating with everything from food selection to setting us up with activities in the area. The food was alway fresh and carefully prepared by their in-house chef. We spent a lot of time with the fishing guides as well who offered deep knowledge of the river, and Alaska. They always put us in the right spot to catch fish and provided all the gear necessary. They went the extra mile and set us up with a float plane to a remote lake to fish for Pike. It was a unique experience flying over volcanoes and fishing a lake with no one in sight. If you go to Alaska, there is no better place to stay than Fox Bay Lodge!

My husband and I stayed at Fox Bay Lodge during Couples Week last summer. It was the best way to experience Alaska together because of the pristine location, great accommodations, fishing and excellent food and service. Fox Bay Lodge is located near the small town of King Salmon and is on a beautiful bay that is surrounded by pine trees. It is minutes to great fishing spots and a short flight to Brooks where we saw the bears gorging on salmon. At the end of the day we enjoyed just hanging out in the main room of the lodge that has a panoramic view of the bay. The meals were served in the recently renovated lodge that is just beautiful. The chef prepared flavorful and fresh food and all of the meals were top notch. We had our own private cabin on the waterfront where bald eagles soared over the water and red foxes and fowl searched for food along the shoreline. The owners, Sue and Jerry Klassen, made sure that everyone received the best service and had a great time. The food and hospitality were amazing, the cabins were great and the fishing guides were the best on the river. We caught our limit every day. We left with great memories and a cooler filled with vacuum-sealed frozen salmon that were caught only days before and so delicious. There is so much natural beauty and wildlife in Alaska to explore and Fox Bay Lodge is the perfect location. We will definitely be back!
